To construct :  Quadrilateral ABCD

Step-by-step

  • Draw a line segment  AB =  7 cm
  • with A as a center and radius = 9 cm draw an arc
  • with B as a center and radius = 3  cm draw an arc, which cuts the previous arc at point C
  • similarly with A as a center and radius = 8 cm draw an arc
  • with B as a center and radius = 11 cm draw an arc, which cuts the previous arc at point D

Given :  a quadrilateral ABCD with mAB=7cm,mBC=3cm,mAD=8cm,mAC=9cm and mBD=11cm

To find : Construct Quadrilateral

Solution:

Step 1 :  Draw  a line segment AB = 7 cm

Step 2 :  Using compass width = 9 cm & taking A as center draw an arc

Step 3 : Using compass width = 3 cm & taking B as center draw an arc such that it intersect arc drawn in previous step at C

Step 4 : join BC

Step 5 : Using compass width = 8 cm & taking A as center draw an arc

Step 6 : Using compass width = 8 cm & taking B as center draw an arc such that it intersect arc drawn in previous step at D

Step 7 : Join AD

Step 8 : join CD
