Answer:

The side of rhombus is approximately equal to  √18.5≈4.3011.

Solution:

it is possible to construct the rhombus PQRS

where

          PR = 7 cm

          QS = 5 cm

Procedure to draw:

1)  Draw the line PR of length 7 cm.

2) Draw the perpendicular Bisector of line PR.

3) Considering the origin the point of intersect of lines, draw the Arcs of length 2.5 cm and name the points Q and S where the Arcs insect the bisector of line PR

4) Joint the point P with Q and S.

5) Joint the point R with Q and S.

The rhombus is ready which has four equal sides and each side has  length  √(18.5)

Because by using Pythagoras theorem

square of side of rhombus = square of (7/2) + square of (5/2)

                                              =49/4 + 25/4=74/4=18.5

square of side of rhombus=18.5

See the graph of rhombus.

           taking under root on both sides we get

side rhombus=√18.5  ≈ 4.3011

so the side of rhombus is approximately equal to 4.3011
