Construct a right angled XYZ in which Y = 90˚, YZ = 2.8 cm and XY = 5.3 cm

1. Construct a line segment XY of length 5.3 cm.

2. At Y, draw an arc and cut two smaller arcs which represent 60° and 120° respectively.

3. Bisect 60° and 120° to obtain 90°.

4. From Y, extend a ray that cuts through the arc of 90°.

5. With Y as the center and radius 2.8 cm, cut an arc on the ray.

6. Name the point as Z.

7. Join X and Z. XYZ is the required triangle.
