Construct a triangle ABC, if the lengths of its sides are given as

AB =6 CM, BC = 7 CM, and AC= 5 CM

To construct the triangle, follow the following steps

1) Draw a line seg BC= 7CM

2) With centre B and radius AB = 6 cm draw an arc of the circle

3) With centre C and radius AC = 5 cm draw an arc intersecting the arc

drawn in step 2

4) Name the point of intersection as a\A

5) Join AB & AC to obtain the triangle ABC

6) MEASURE THE < B = ?

Given: ΔABC, AB=6cm, BC=7cm, and AC=5cm.

To find: construct triangle ABC and find ∠B.

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1 of 6

A line is drawn such that BC=7cm.

Step 2 of 6

B as center draw an arc at 6 cm away.

Step 3 of 6

Now with C as center draw an arc at 5cm away.

Step 4 of 6

Both the arcs intersects each other at point A.

Step 5 of 6

Join AB and AC. The required triangle is ΔABC.

Step 6 of 6

With the help of a degree, measure the angle B.

∠B=45°
