let the three sides be 1x, 3x and 5x
so, 1x + 3x + 5x = 13.5 cm
⇒9x= 13.5
⇒x = 13.5 / 9 = 1.5 cm
so, one side = 1.5 cm
2nd side = 1.5 x 3 = 4.5 cm and
3rd side = 1.5 x 5 = 7.5 cm
now taking 7.5 cm as base draw an arc of 1.5 cm from one end and 4.5 cm from another. join the point where they intersect to the other ends. this is the required triangle

Dear Student,

As length of sides are in the ratio 1:3:5So, let the length of sides be x,3x and 5xPerimeter of triangle=sum of all the sides18=x+3x+5x⇒x=2Thus,Sides are:x=2 cm3x=6cm5x=10 cm
Steps of construction:(1) Draw a line segment AB of 6 cm(2) Draw an arc of 2 cm from point A and an arc of 10 cm from point B.(3) Two arc intersects at point C. Join AC and BCHence ABC is the required triangle.
