Answer:

Sides are 28/11, 56/11, 70/11

Step-by-step explanation:

The sides are 2x 3x and 5x because of the 2:4:5 ratio.

2x + 3x + 5x = 14

11x = 14

x=14/11.

One side is 2(14/11)

2nd side is 4(14/11)

3rd side is 5(14/11)

The side lengths of triangle are 2.5 cm , 5.1 cm , 6.4 cm

Solution:

Given that,

Sides of triangle are in ratio 2 : 4 : 5

Let the sides be 2x , 4x , 5x

Also given,

perimeter = 14 cm

We know,

Perimeter of triangle = sum of length of all sides

14 = 2x + 4x + 5x

11x = 14

x = 1.272

Thus the length of sides are:

2x = 2(1.272) = 2.544 ≈ 2.5

4x = 4(1.272) = 5.088  ≈  5.1

5x = 5(1.272) = 6.36  ≈  6.4

Thus side lengths of triangle are 2.5 cm , 5.1 cm , 6.4 cm
