Draw a straight horizontal line for the base. Find what the base angle is which is (180–45) divided by 2 = 67.5 which will be the base angles. Now draw a line from the base line at 67.5 degrees. From the base line measure up the line 9 cm. This is the apex of the isosceles triangle. Drawn another line from this point to the base line at 45 degrees. This is the isosceles triangle with the apex angle of 45 degrees and the two base angles of 67.5 degrees. 45 + 67.5 + 67.5 = 180 degrees.
