when we construct dams a large number of animals, plants and humans are harmed. Many people are also displaced and they lose their means of livelihood. If people have to move from their houses, they will also have to find new jobs. This will also harm a lot of animals as sometimes places where animals live are the places where the dams are going to be constructed. This will also cause a lot of trees to be cut down causing deforestation on a large scale. This in turn causes a huge ecological imbalance.
