even I got this doubt recently.
the dot means combined with.
after the dot, we always find few water molecules.
it is the water of crystallization of the given Na2Co3

This dot/point represents multiply as in maths we write 1.2=2 In the same way it doesn't represent multiply here it represents combining of two elements. As Na2CO3+10H2O--Na2CO3. 10H2O.
In this reaction it combined two elements here.
