Centripetal force:-

defined as, “The component of force acting on a body in curvilinear motion that is directed toward the center of curvature or axis of rotation,” while

Centrifugal force

is defined as, “The apparent force, equal and opposite to the centripetal force, drawing a rotating body away from the center of rotation, caused by the inertia of the body,”

Similarities -

1. Both are equal in magnitude

2. Both act in radial direction

3. Both are associated with circular motion

4.(centrifugal force)Along the radius of the circle, from the center towards the object.

(centripetal force)
Along the radius of the circle, from the object towards the center.

hey!!
Similarities -

1. Both are equal in magnitude
2. Both act in radial direction
3. Both are associated with circular motion

Dissimilarities -

1. Both have opposite direction
2. Centripetal is a real force while the other one is a psuedo force
3. Centripetal is taken into account from Intertial frame of reference while centrifugal is taken in Non-intertial frame of reference.
