Renin or chymosin is the hormone which is present in infants or in children but absent in adults. Because children need the milk of his his mother for their nutrition so it help in digesting it but adults do not take the milk of his mother so there is no need for adults.

The role of that hormone is to digest the protein which is present in mother's milk so renin is the hormone which digests the protein of mother's milk

Heya the secretion of the renin hormone is just same as the secretion of the pepsin hormone means it is secreted from gastric gland in the stomach.
