if √b2-4ac<0
or,1-4m2<0
m2>1/4
m>+-1/2 then the equation has no real roots

Since given equation has no real roots
therefore D<0
b^2-4(ac) <0
1-4(1)(m2)<0
m^2<1/4

therefore the value of m smaller than-/+ 1/2has no real roots
