I) Himalayas are the newest formations based on geological era where as Peninsular plateau are the oldest landmass of Indian subcontinent. II) since Himalayas are the newest formations it is still not stable as compared to the Peninsular plateaus. III) Himalayan mountains are responsible for formation of rivers ,deep valleys, Gorge,etc. Where as Peninsular plateau are not like so.
