Dr. Rajendra Prasad, was the first president of India who din’t served as a vice president before.  

Dr. Rajendra Prasad served the office back in 1952-1962. He was one of the important political leader of Indian National Congress. He was one of the notable follower of Mahatma Gandhi and became popular among the national leaders during Indian Independence Movement.

He was one of the persons who actively involved in the Indian Independence Movement and got imprisoned by the British government during Salt Satyagraha movement, Quit India Movement.
