-he lead various satyagrahas in champaran,kheda,ahmedabad
-he supported pesants,cotton mill workers etc through these satyagrahas.
-he urged on full independence without violence.
-he asked people to give up drinking,to wear khadi, to give up bad practices...
-he lead various peaceful agitations such as the CDM,NVM,swadeshi movement etc.
-He made congress movements mass
-promoted khadi making industries that lead to the upcoming of that industry
-He made Indians realize that they were one.
