Surdas, one of the most famous Bhakti people of India, during the XIVth-VIIth century, was the last devotee of Lord Krishna. He was blind and worked in the 16th century. Surdas was a poet as well as a vocalist like Tyagaraja. Most of his lyrics had written in praising Lord Krishna. His work includes Braj Bhasa, one in Hindi and Awadhi, two literary dialects.
