convectional source of energy
Answers
Answer:
They are called conventional since these sources are used as major source of Power generation. Few examples of Conventional Energy sources are: Oil, Coal, Natural Gas etc. Non-Conventional sources are those sources which are inexhaustible in nature like Solar, Wind, Hydel/Hydro, biomass etc.
Conventional sources of energy (e.g. coal, petroleum and natural gas) are non-renewable sources of energy. Non-conventional sources of energy (e.g. solar and wind energy) are renewable sources of energy. They have been in use since a long time. For example, firewood and coal have been in use since a long time.
The main advantages of conventional energy resources are that they are abundant and affordable. For example, oil and diesel are still good choices for powering vehicles. Non-renewable energy is cost effective and easier to product and use.
