Conversation between me and a fairy the summary the fairy will grant the little children three wishes
Answers
Answer:
I’m bald. I used to have a great head of wavy brown hair but now I’m an eggshell blond. If the fairy gave me three wishes I’d ask for a set of wigs in fluoro colours so that, when I walk into a room, everybody will notice. After a lifetime spent as a nonentity, it would make a pleasant change.
I’m as blind as a bat. I’d ask the fairy to give me a third eye, right in the middle of the forehead, with a searchlight instead of a retina. If she did that, I could not only see things more easily, but could find my way in the dark.
I have painful arthritis and if I drop anything it’s a problem to get down to the floor, pick it up, then stand again. I’d ask the fairy to make my arms about 60 cm (2 feet) longer. That would not only make it easier to retrieve dropped items, it would make cutting my toe nails a whole lot less stressful.
Of course, that’s not really an original idea. Abraham Lincoln said it first. In describing General Sheridan, he said he was “a brown, chunky little chap, with a long body, short legs, not enough neck to hang him, and such long arms that if his ankles itch he can scratch them without stooping.”
