Me: How were your Holi celebrations yesterday?

Friend: Wonderful. We had a lot of fun.

Me: What did you do?

Friend: Well, first we had the 'puja' indoors and then we stepped outdoors.

Me: It is wise to play Holi outside.

Friend: Yes, and there is so much space to run around when you are getting chased by someone with a water gun.

Me: Absolutely. Didn't you throw water balloons at them? You have a good aim.

Friend: I did, but I am out of practice. I wish Holi would come each month.

Me: Just so you get to practice balloon throwing?

Friend: Yes, and also because festivals are fun. You get a holiday and the entire family comes together to celebrate.

Me: True, and the colourful faces make lovely memories too.

Friend: Ha ha! I had to scrub my face a million times yesterday. My sister applied some purple colour on me that just wouldn’t come off.

Me: There’s still some pretty purple left on your left cheek. Maybe you need another holiday for the clean up part!
