Aniline can be converted into benzene  sulphonic acid by following steps of reaction -

(i) React aniline with NaNO_{2} in presence of HCl at 0 to 5 degree celsius to form benzenediazonium chloride .

(ii) React benzenediazonium chloride with ethyl alochol to form benzene .

(iii) React benzene with sulphuric acid at 525 k to form benzene  sulphonic acid.
