acetaldehyde to acetone. CH3CHO +CH3MgBr(dry ether)-----------> CH3---CH(OMgBr)----CH3 /(H+/H2O)------>CH3CH(OH)CH3 /(Cu/573) ------>CH3COCH3. 1.acetaldehyde first react with grignard reagent. 2.then the product form is treating with H+/H2O. 3.and finally with Cu/573 then acetone is formed.
