Answer:

r =√2( wherever there are two,there is a square)

Step-by-step explanation:

given z = 1 - i..................(1)

let polar form be

z = r ( cos 0 + i sin 0)......(2)

form (1) and (2)

1 - i = ( cos 0+ i sin 0)

comparing real part 1=r cos0

sqauring both sides (1)2= (r cos0)2

1= r2 cos2 0 ...................(3)

comparing imaginary part

-1 = r sin 0

sqauring both sides (-1)2= (r sin 0)2

1= r2 sin2 0 ......................(4)

adding (3) and (4)

1 + 1 = r2 cos2 0 + r2 sin2 0

2+ r2 (cos2 0+ sin 2 0)

2= r2 × 1

2= r2

√2= r

r=√2
