Heya !!!
3.5 ( bar on 5 )
Let X = 3.5
Then X = 3.55 -------(1)
Multiply equation (1) by 10 we get,
10X = 35.55 ---------(2)
Subtract equation (1) from equation (2) we get,
10X = 35.55
X = 3.55
----------------
9X = 32 [ Bar cancelled ]
X = 32/9 [ P/Q form ]
Hence,
3.5 ( bar on 5 ) = 32/9

Let 'x' be 3.5(bar on 5).
Since the number of repeating decimals is 1,we should multiply x and it's value with 10.
10*x=3.5(bar on 5)*10.
10x=35.5(bar on 5).
Now we should SUBTRACT x and it's value from 10x and it's value.
10x-x=35.5(bar on 5)-3.5(bar on 5).
9x=32 (bar gets cancelled)
x=32/9.
Therefore,3.5(bar on 5) in the form of p/q where p and q are integers and q is not equal to 0 is 32/9.
