Concept:

For this question we need few conversion.

radians= degree\times \frac{\pi }{180}

1°= 60 min

1 = 3600 sec

Given:

The value of degree min and sec is given 50°30'20''

To find:

The given value in radians.

Solution:

The given can be written as

50°+30'+20"                   -----------(1)

Lets first convert min in degree

30'=\frac{1}{60}\times 30=0.5°               ----------------(2)

then sec in degree

20''=\frac{1}{3600}\times 20=0.0056             -------------------(3)

Substituting equation (2) and (3) in (1)

50+0.5+0.0056

⇒50.5056°

Now converting degrees in radians is

⇒50.5056×\frac{\pi }{180}

50.5056\times \frac{3.14}{180} =0.881 rad

Therefore the value is 0.881 rad
