Conversion of aniline to benzene:
- When aniline is reacted with and HCl to form 'benzene diazonium choride'.
- Then it is further reacted with EtOH to give Benzene.
- Here EtOH is a ethanol, a simple alcohol with chemical formula C_2H_6O.
- The Conversion of aniline to benzene by Diazotization method.
- The diazotization reaction is defined as a 'primary aromatic' amine are reacted to give a 'diazo compound'. Also known as the 'diazo process'.
- The reaction are as follows
