Aniline can be converted in to benzyl amine as follows.
Step-1--Conversion of aniline in to cyanobenzene
Aniline is treated with NaNO₂ and HCl to form benzene diazonium choride,which is further reacted with CuCN and KCN to give cyanobenzene.
