Step I : When we add conc. sulphuric acid to propan-1-ol, water is removed and we get prop-1-ene.
Step II : After treating prop-1-ene with hydrogen bromide, the addendum (-Br) goes to 2nd carbon atom (which contains less no. of H - atom) and 2-Bromopropane is formed.
Step III : Treatment of 2-Bromopropane with aqueous solution of potassium hydroxide, OH replaces Br and form Propan-2-ol.
