Solution :-

Let us assume that, x is equal to 2.46 (bar on 6.)

so,

→ x = 2.46____

→ 10x = 24.6___ ----------- Eqn.(1)

again ,

→ 100x = 246.6____ ----------- Eqn.(2)

subtracting Eqn.(1) from Eqn.(2) ,

→ 100x - 10x = (246.6______) - (24.6______) = 222

→ 90x = 222

→ x = 222/90

→ x = 111 / 45

→ x = 37/15 (Ans.)

Solution:

Let say

N = $2.4\overline{6}$

10N = $24.\overline{6}$

100N = $246.\overline{6}$

=>100N - 10N = $246.\overline{6}$ - $24.\overline{6}$

=> 90N = 222

=> N = 222/90

=> N = 111/45

=> N = 37/15

$2.4\overline{6}$ = 37/15
