The copper being more reactive than silver will displace silver from its solution. Chemical equation can be written as follows
Cu (s) + 2AgNO3(aq) → Cu(NO3)2(aq) + 2Ag (s)
The initial silver nitrate solution is colorless which will changed in blue color when cuprous nitrate will form. This is an example of displacement reaction.
Cu (s) + 2AgNO3(aq) → Cu(NO3)2(aq) + 2Ag (s)
