Copper does not burn due to the reactive series is lower than heat it means ferrous due to that reason ferrous it is lower than ferrous so copper doesn't burn but when it is get the heat he get black in colour that's why the colour is black and it doesn't but this is why the heat is not sufficient to burn the copper help you
