Copper vessel are never used to keep curd . Why??

Because copper react with curb and make it hazardous to health..

Explanation:

Curd contains lactic acid and when curd is kept in a copper vessel then the lactic acid reacts with the metal. As a result, it produces a metallic salt.

This metallic salt is toxic in nature hence, it is not fit for human consumption. It can also cause food poisoning.

The reaction will be as follows.

    Metal + Acid \rightarrow Salt + Hydrogen gas

Therefore, the curd will get poisonous and on the other hand copper vessel will get corroded.
