Coromandel coast does not receive much rainfall from the bay of bengal monsoons

As monsoonal rainfall winds are blowing parallel to Eastern ghats, so most of the winds blows away to North Eastern Himalayan range without colliding withe ranges in Eastern Ghat. So Coromandel Coast don't receive much rainfall.
