the solution for ur second question is as follows:
area of cross section of pipe= 42cm^2
given speed of water flow=1.25m/sec=125cm/sec
amount of water flowing out in one second =42 X 125= 5250 cm^3
theb amount of water flowing out in 1 minute i.e in 60 seconds=5250 X 60= 315000 cm^3
since 1000cm^3 =1 litre
then 315000cm^3 =315 litres
hope it will prove to be helpful for u
