let that 3 -√5 is rational no.
and obviously 3 is also rational no.
now , as we know that the substraction of two rational is always rational no.
so...if 3 is subtracted from 3 - √5
then we got
3 - √5 -3 =√5 .
but here is contradiction arises that √5 is rational no.
so .our assumption is wrong ...
it is possible only when 3 -√5 is irrational no.
hense ..here prooved 3-√5 is irrational no.
