Hi ,

*****************************************

If A1, A2 are areas of two similar

triangles and a , b are their

corresponding sides then

A1/A2 = a²/b²
*******************************************

Here ,

area of larger triangle ( A1 ) = 48 cm²

A2 = ?

a = 4 cm , b = 3 cm

A1/A2 = a²/b²

48/A2 = 4²/3²

=> ( 48 × 9 )/16 = A2

=> 3 × 9 = A2

27 = A2

Therefore,

Area of smaller triangle = A2 = 27 cm²

I hope this helps you.
