The eqation of a stright line can be written in the form 2x+3y-8 =0.
(a) Rearrange the equation of straight line and make Y the subject of the formula
(b)write down the co-ordinates of the point where the line crosses Y axis.

1/6 power 3 ( by replacing the negative sign into positive sign)

1 multiply by 3

6 multiply by 6 power 3

1/216 is the answer ...

so 6 power -31 is equal to 1/216 ....

a)

2x + 3y – 8 = 0

3y = 8 – 2x

y = ( 8 – 2x ) / 3

b)

The line will cross y axis. That means its x is 0

putting x = 0 in the above equation

2 ( 0 ) + 3y = 8

3y = 8

y = 8/3

coordinate : ( 0 , 8/3 )
