 \frac{1 -  {cos}^{2}  \:\theta }{cos \: \theta}  = tan \: \theta \times sin \: \theta \:

LHS

 = \frac{1 -  {cos}^{2}  \:\theta }{cos \: \theta}

 =  \frac{ {sin}^{2}\theta }{cos \: \theta}

  = \frac{sin \: \theta}{cos \: \theta}  \times sin \: \theta

 = tan \: \theta \times sin \: \theta
