 \frac{cosx}{1 - sinx}  =  \frac{1 + sinx}{cosx}  \\  cross \: multiplication \\ cosx \times cosx = (1 + sinx) \times (1 - sinx) \\ cos {}^{2} x = 1 - sin {}^{2} x \\ we \: know \: that \: sin {}^{2} x + cos {}^{2} x = 1 \\ hence \: cos {}^{2} x = 1 - sin {}^{2} x \\ so \: 1 - sin {}^{2} x = 1 - sin {}^{2} x \:  \: (proved)
