Cosθ =2/3, for some angle having measure θ.State whether the given statement is true or false. Justify your answer.

 cosθ = \frac{2}{3}  can't be greater than one hence this statement is true.

Because the minimum and maximum value of cosθ is -1 and 1 . But 2/3 is

less than 1 and greater than -1, hence this statement support the

argument,hence true.

Or in the other point of view if ,

 cosθ= \frac{2}{3}  then  secθ = \frac{3}{2}  which is

greater than one.We, know the minimum value of secθ is one.

which proves above statement is true.

Sin and cos of any angle lie between

- 1 and + 1 .

Here ,. it is given that

cos theta = 2/3 ≈ 0.6

-1 < 2/3 < 1

Therefore ,

Given statement is True .
