Hey !!
Cos∅ is defined as Base(side adjacent to angle ∅) /Hypotenuse

Cos∅ = B/H
Some important formulas related to Cos∅ are
Cos∅ = 1/Sec∅
Cos²∅ = 1-Sin²∅
Cos2∅ = 1-Tan²/1+Tan²∅
= Cos²∅-Sin²∅
= 1-2Sin²∅
= 2Cos²∅-1
