keerthi1208: i have used another formula
Dhinu: which one ?
Dhinu: what's your answer .. send me your answer I'll check if it's correct or not !
keerthi1208: sinAcosB=1/2sin(A+B)+sin(A-B)
keerthi1208: by using the above mentioned formula,i am getting the book back answer
Dhinu: yes .. that's right
Dhinu: you can do by that also
Dhinu: it's obviously right
Dhinu: :)
keerthi1208: ok

∫cos2xsin4xdx
∫cos2x.2sin2xcos2xdx
2∫sin2xcos²2xdx (equation 1)

Take cos2x=t
⇒-2sin2xdx=dt
⇒dx=-dt/2sin2x

substituting dx in equation 1

⇒-∫t²dt
-t³/3+c
⇒-cos³2x/3+c

keerthi1208: hii
keerthi1208: thanks
keerthi1208: but this one is not correct
rockit11: Simplify the ans given in the book you may get the same answer as above....
