hi

Cost of 10 oranges and 3 bananas is RS 109

cost of 3 oranges and 10 bananas is RS 60

lest from some equations

10 oranges  + 3 bananas = 109...[1]

3 oranges +  10 bananas  = 60....[2]

now on adding [1]  and [2]

13 oranges + 13 bananas =  169

now let us divide all the 3 by 13

=> 1 orange + 1 banana  = rs13

hope it helps u

Concept:

An algebraic expression in mathematics is an expression which is created from variables and constants, together with algebraic operations (addition, subtraction, etc.). Expressions are made of terms.

Given:

We are given cost of 10 oranges and 3 bananas is Rs 109 and also the cost of 3  oranges and 10 bananas is Rs 60.

Find:

we have to seek out the cost of 1 orange and 1 banana.

Solution:

Let the price of orange is Rs x and also the cost of bananas is y.

According to the question,

10x+3y=109       .......(1)\\3x+10y=60           ......(2)

According to the question,

Now, we are going to find the worth of x from equation (2), we get

x=\frac{60-10y}{3}

Further, we'll substitute value of x in equation (1), we get

\begin{aligned}10\left(\frac{60-10y}{3}\right)+3y&=109\\ 200-\frac{100y}{3}+3y&=109\\ 91-\frac{91y}{3}&=0\\ 273&=91y\\ y&=3\end

Furthermore, we are going to find the worth of  x by substituting y=3, we get

x=\frac{60-10\times 3}{3}\\ x&=10

The total cost of 1 orange and 1 banana is 10+3=13

Hence, the cost of 1 orange is 10 and cost of1 banana is 3.
