Solution :-

(1)

→ Angle at centre = 360° - 210° = 150°

So,

→ Length of arc PQ = (Angle at centre/360°) * 2πr

→ Length of arc PQ = (150/360) * 2 * 3.14 * 12

→ Length of arc PQ = (5/12) * 2 * 3.14 * 12

→ Length of arc PQ = 5 * 2 * 3.14

→ Length of arc PQ = 10 * 3.14

→ Length of arc PQ = 31.4 in (Ans.)

(2)

→ Length of arc DE = (Angle at centre/360°) * 2πr

→ Length of arc DE = (160/360) * 2 * 3.14 * 8

→ Length of arc DE = (4/9) * 2 * 3.14 * 8

→ Length of arc DE = (64 * 3.14)/9

→ Length of arc DE = (200.96/9)

→ Length of arc DE = 22.33 yd (Ans.)

Similarly we can find length of arc in next parts using same formula .

Just put values in :-

  • (Angle at centre/360°) * 2πr .
  • π = 3.14
  • r = radius of circle .
