Could the no. Of eggs produced by an oviparous and viviparous mother be equal? Why?

Here is your answer.....


Oviparous animals lay many eggs at one time. For example - a bird lay 1- 3 eggs at a time. They shot the survival of there eggs . If there all eggs get hacked then there will be many babies of oviparous animals have.


But in viviparous animals a egg is formed in 20 - 30 days. And will be able to fertilize within 15 - 16 hrs. If the egg is fertilised then then it will take 10 months to form another egg. If it is not fertilized then it will come out of body of female.

Therefore, oviparous animals have more babies then viviparous animals have.
