Solution:

The amount spent on a mathematics book = Rs. 37.50

The amount spent on a science book =  Rs. 34.60

∴ The total amount spent by Jimil = 37.50 + 34.60 = Rs. 72.10

Thus, The total amount spent by Jimil is → Rs. 72.10

Given:

Vidit travels 30 km 50 m every day.

Out of this, he travels 10 km 300 m by   rickshaw and the rest by bus.

To find:

How much distance does he travel by bus?

Solution:

We know,

$\boxed{\bold{1 \:m = \frac{1}{1000} \:km}}$

The distance travelled every day = 30 + 0.05 = 30.05 km

The distance travelled by rickshaw = 10 + 0.3 = 10.3 km

∴ The distance travelled by bus = 30.05 km - 10.3 km = 19.75 km = 19 km 750 m

Thus, Vidit travels 19 km 750 m by bus.
