Counter views on why parents should view their children's activities more because it is an invasion of privacy and it is not necessarily related to doing some bad practices and parents should be more respectful to their children.
EXPLANATION:
Most of the people today are of the view that parents should monitor more closely their children's activities because it is generally thought that the teenage children are always up to some mischief, but it is not true. I think parents should be more trusting to their children and to provide them their own privacy and to respect that.
- Teens are not a danger to society as opposite to the popular belief because it is the older men who are ruining society with their hypocritical stereotypes that they had built. And although there is no denial that sometimes teenagers do pose a problem but get are not dangers to the country.
- Contrary to the popular belief that teenagers can be led astray easily, it is generally rather tough to convince a teenager and these days they are educated and most of them are able to differentiate between moral behaviour.
- Teenagers these days are exposed to much of social media that forms very negative constructions in their mind, but it is also true that they can be more expressive in social media, and hence they should not be monitored.
- There is stiff competition in every field so most of the teenagers search to look for shortcuts to achieve their goal, sometimes these ways are not very dependable and they may fall into some bait. But still it is not so in most of the cases. Therefore, parents should give them their space and privacy and should not monitor them continuously. But parents should create an environment where children can freely interact with them and there would be less need to depend on social media. In this way both parents and children can find a common way.
