Equator divides African continent into two parts ,the northern and the southern. The parts divided are almost equal in size. Equator cuts across  a few countries though it passes almost central part of the continent. It passes through countries like, Somalia ,Kenya Uganda, Central Republic of Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo and Gabon.
