(Covalently bonded molecules are seen to have strong bonds within the molecule,) but inter-molecular forces are weak.

Please explain this line, especially the part in brackets.

as covalent bonds are made by sharing of electrons between the atoms they are much stronger within the molecule .......... intermolecular bonds are between 2 different molecules which are just attractive forces but no real bonds hence they're weaker...hope it helps ✌️
