Cr3+ is most stable ion in aqueous solution. Why?

Cr3+ has electronic config. as [Ar] 3d3 i.e.has 3 unpaired electron. 

According to CFT(Crstall Field Splitting Theory) it has configuration as t2g3and hence is extremely stable in aqueous solution.
