In India the craze for the admission of a student into a good medical college or a good engineering college has driven the parents to do anything. Getting admission into a prestigious college is outstanding but taking the wrong path for achieving the right thing is also wrong. The parents are lured by the advertisement of the coaching centres which include the ranks of the top students who had studied there. Also the advertisements consist of the scholarship for the students who have scored good marks in their 12th or any preliminary classes. The advertisement is the rat trap designed especially for the parents and their children hence trying to invite them into it and got caught in the scheme of the coaching centres.
Parents, in the rush of the admitting their child, even forget about the child natural skill and hard work. They only trust the so called teaching shops for shaping their minds and careers. One can not understand that why parents lose their confidence on the child. They should not run in the race of obtaining the highest rank in the entrance despite of that they should nurture their basic skills and inborn talent to achieve good marks in the entrance exam.
Coaching centres just provide spoon feeding to the students. It destroys their inbuilt capability and makes them dependent on the coaching centres for each and every thing. Coaching centre provides the mock test paper and class test paper and so on many papers are conducted for the nourishment of the student but somehow this makes them cripple and doesn't allow them to use their own mind.
This article is not against any coaching centre but it is against the thinking of the people that if a person wants to crack the entrance then he or she requires a coaching centre for doing that. Many high rankers do not have any coaching either they crack the entrance by themselves or they are home schooled by their parents. Many people think that if they sent their children to the place like Kota(Rajasthan) then there is a sure guaranteed of the admission of their child. But this notion is totally wrong as among lakhs of the students who go to Kota, majority return empty handed.
This article is an appeal to the parents that they should try to enrich their children with the skills and knowledge instead of enriching them with all the mock test paper. This will not only help them to pass the entrance but it would also help them to build a personality of their own. There are handful of nice movies like 3 idiots which clearly illustrate pursuing the passion is much more successful instead of following the tracks of others.
